anyone ever have lions with cleaner shrimp in the tank?
no really any lion will eat ornamental shrimps. you could get lucky especially if the shrimp is in first and established and the lion is small and added after but odds are the shrimp will become a meal

I remember way back in the day when i was looking at lionfish on youtube, one of the first videos was of a lionfish eating one in a home aquarium. Not something i'd really risk considering everywhere I go cleaner shrimp cost around 30 bucks.

I have a Black Volitan and a Dwarf Fuzzy in my 75 with a Coral Banded Shrimp with no problems, I have a feeling the would gobble up a cleaner though, although I'm still tempted to try...

well im happy to report that my cleaner shrimp has been in the tank ofr a week now and i have had no problems. As a matter of fact my lion lets the cleaner shrimp clean him and he now goes about the tank during the day. i have since added 3 peperment shrimp. I think the key is keeping my lion fed and happy. My long horn cowfish seems more aggresive than my lion does. Also my lion was added first to the tank and he is about 8in so if he wanted to he could snap them up. funny thing is he loves to eat krill. lol

lol, I tried adding 2 peppermint shrimp to my fuzzy dwarf tank and they were both eaten in a matter of hours.

Two weeks is one thing; I'd bet the farm that your tank will be shrimp-less sooner or later; probably sooner.

I lost a large fire shrimp and a cleaner shrimp to my small humu humu-they all were in the tank for alomst 2 weeks together-no problems, one day I noticed that both shrimp were missing-they became the humu humu's dinner the night before. :(
