I recently bought a few thing from this web site and everything came in great shape(as always). I know inverts molt and to leave them in as a decoy while they harden up. But last night I came home to find a very bright and colorful molt.
IS that normal ? shouldent it be clear ?
LOL if you count your shrimp and you are sure its just a molt, you're fine. Its actually a sign its healthy. My shrimp has molted a ton of times, each time the color is different but it still amazes me how it stays in the shape of the shrimp

I still have NOT found the shrimp in my rock work so i am not sure if it died as for how many I have it was my only one.
I will wait awhile more ... nice to know they molt so perfect.
when my Coral Banded molts it looks identical to the shrimp, same colors and everything. It's actually freaked me out a couple times when i saw it floating around the tank...
every time my fire shrimp molts it looks exactly like him. Bright red and all. The first time it happen I thought that I had a 2nd shrimp in the tank somehow.
when my skunk cleaner molts I always see him at at his "cleaning station" hours after his malt but my blood red fire shrimp usually hides for a day or two
after his molt but they always leave their molts in the front of the tank out in the open.
i freaked out when my boxing shrimp malted as i saw two perfect boxing shrimp. it is strange at first but it is cool they decoy to protect them selfs..
