Cleaner shrimp randomly dies - any ideas?

So last night my cleaner shrimp and everyone in the tank was doing great
I come back from work today and he is curled up and dead in the corner
All parms are perfect and all the fish are doing great
I have not made any changes to the tank since saturday when I added a hippo tang

is this a new tank? r u sure what u r seeing isnt the old shell from molting?

+1 it's probably just a molt...leave it in there...they eat them for added nutrients.

Just a molt, in all likelihood. Watch over the next couple of days. I'll bet your dead shrimp miraculously reappears, about 30% bigger than he was before.

the tank has been up for about 3 months, he has been in there for almost a month and a half
I am hoping its a molt, but he just did that a 3-4 weeks ago
also i did realize one change i made yesturday...i switched from standard 40watt lights to 260w PC lights..but i doubt that would have an effect

+1 on the molt. He will show up bigger and brighter than before.

yea molting every three weeks is normal

so its been awhile and he still hasnt turned up so i guess he really did die
what is odd is when I saw his curled up on the bottom of the tank I assumed it was a molt...I left it in there
next day the molt is entirely gone and no sign of the shrimp yet
