Yes they will do fine. I have 2 Pacifics and a Blood Shrimp in my 58 reef and the 2 Pacifics hang and the Blood stays in its own corner. The problem with shrimps is when they have babies the fish eat them right up so you seldom see any babies even tho it has happened. I enjoy Shrimps and wish some of my FO tanks would handle them but the fish would make short work of them.

How many shrimp are too many shrimp?

Hard to say. When small I have seen 10 in a 40 gallon tank but they grow fairly fast if happy and then they get a bit more nasty about their own space. I had 5 in my 58 and am down to 3 now (not sure who did the other 2 in but they are gone).
