Cleaner Shrimp

I was just browsing this website ( I don't have a fish tank yet), but wouldn't a cleaner shrimp help control the algae - or would it not because it's on the bottom of the tank?

I am pretty sure cleaner shrimp do not help control algae. Snails and crabs do.

Cleaner shrimps would not clean up the algae that is already in existance, but they will pick up all the left-over food on the sandbed and rocks to prevent nitrate/phosphate build up, resulting in out-of-control algae.
