cleaner shrimp

i just added a cleaner shrimp to my 12g that has been up and going for about 3 months now. he seems to just stay up on the heater , is this normal?
tank inhabits, 2 yellowtail damsel, 3 scarlet crabs, 3 dwarf blue legged crabs , 2 bumble bee snails , 3 sand swifters, some zoos, and mushrooms. and is there anything special i should offer him for food?

He is probably just settling into the tank. Doesn't sound like anything to worry about. They do not need any special type of food. An invert/filter feeding food will be fine.

thanks for the replies, this mourning he has moved down and into the rocks, what do you recomend for the food?

They do not have a special diet. Any type of invert food and/or filter feeding food will be fine.

They will eat leftover fish food or you can feed them direct once they get used to you, Cleaner shrimp usualy dont move around a lot during the day but at night they go around searching food. I hand deliver small chunk of krill to mine.
