Cleaner shrimp

How active are cleaner shrimp supposed to be?
I've had mine in my tank for about 1 week and although they eat the "
Prime Reef" I feed them, and it appears that they travel from LR to LR sometimes. For the most part they seem to stay underneath one particular rock most all the time. Are they mainly nocturnal or is there something possibly wrong?
My ammonia and nitrites are at 0, my trates are at 20. PH and salt levels are normal.
Any thoughts?

In my experience that is normal, they find a suitable location and call it home which is also thier cleaning station, they will stay near it most of the time.

I have a skunk and a blood red. The skunk is out all the time and if I put my hand in the tank it wants to clean me and it hops on my hand. The red one I think is dead because I never see it but when I feed with some mysis it comes right out. It took a couple of weeks till the skunk warmed up and stayed out all day.
