Cleaner Shrimp

Hi!
Would I be able to house a Cleaner Shrimp with a Purpleback Pseudochromis? The Cleaner Shrimp would go in first, then the Pseudo.... It would be in a 29 gallon tank. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Could be a very iffy. I once had a yellow pseudochromis that absolutely terrorized my cleaners and fire shrimp. This was in a 125g tank with about 175 lbs of live rock. He eventually ate all but 2 shrimp, out of 5. I ended up finally catching him in a fish catcher, and returning him. I will never put another pseudochromis in my tank because of this. All of the shrimp were over 1 yr old, (in my tank) so very large.
Of course, all websites said that he was reef safe.......so you either get one that is or one that "never read the manual".
29g is small, so no where for the shrimp to retreat to. I personally would not. I would do one or the other, not both.

That's kinda suprising, when I had my pseudo he didn't even touch my cleaner. I guess it just depends on the temperment of the individual fish.
