Cleaners for Puffer tank.

HI all. I'm tring to figure out what kind if cleaning crew I can put in my 75 gal with my puffer and 2 damsels. I would prefer somthing that isnt going to end up the catch of the day. I do have plenty of LR for things the hide in.

I doubt any crew will live too long with the puffer. I would add a refugium to help with your micro-algea growth.

The only thing that works in our puffer tank are large snails. The smaller snails (astreas) get picked off the glass and eaten, but the puffers never bother the large (1") turbos. Good luck!

I dont think you will have a clean up crew for 2 long with the puffers my 5inch dogface ate 4 inch hermit crab in less than 2 min so it depends on what the attitude of the fish is. but in general i dont think it would work try the large snails its ure best chance.

You could try large snails but I can tell you that my Stars & Stipes like escargo big or small more than any frenchman I know! He has torn up a couple BIG snails in the tank, but he is fairly large (8-9"). Good luck with your crew!
