After a large leak my room got a 125 gal saltwater cleaning. I washed the room clean and got eveything out soo i could clean each piece one by one.
My Metal Halide ballist got some water on it, I was able to disconnect the main power to the system, before the timer turn it on. So no smoke or shorts that I could smell or see.
Its dry now and I wanted to know if I should take it apart and maybe look for salt creep and give it a cleaning with a computer air can or something like that ?
Never keep gear at floor level.

Yeah open it up and look for salty deposits, if there are any, you can wash it off most components with a damp rag, then let it dry thorougly. You're in Arizona, so you can dry the ******** pretty easily by opening the case and letting it sit in the sun for a few hours.

Get one of those $20.00 cheap shelves...they work great for keeping equipment off the floor and it doesn't take up much room. That is what I use. Just trying to help..

I will take it apart , inspect all the parts and clean with an air can and a damp cloth . With any luck it should still work.
As for keeping the gear off the ground, the shelves should work.
Thanks
