Cleaning and storing used sand

I currently have a 90 gallon DT with a 2" sand bed and a 55 gallon fuge with a 6" sand bed. This weekend I will be moving 4 30 gallon tanks that have been running for about 3 years from their current location to my home and all of these tanks will be connected together. The 30 gallons currently have about a 3 to 4 inch sand bed however, I was thinking about going bare bottom with these tank as they will be frag tanks. I have two questions that I'm hoping to get some help with.
1. If i removed this sand from the existing 30 gallon tanks, what is the best way to clean and store it for possible future use?
2. Would it be more beneficial for the frag system to have the sand bed in the 30 gallons or go without it?
Also, i'll be adding a 110 gallon sump that will support the 4 30 gallons, 90 gallon and 55 gallon fuge. There will also be a total of about 200 lbs of cured live rock.
Thanks!

its better to just rinse it good before you store it, and if you arent going to use it for a long time, just keep im mind that when you go to use it again, your going to need to rinse it well again...
as far as sand in the frag tank... i dont think its going to make a big enough difference either way

I went barebottom with my 20L. Honestly, totally not worth all the effort. It's a lot harder to keep up, you're gonna collect debris on the bottom, whereas with sand, it's unseen. IMO, for a frag tank, I'd just do a little bit of sand, but with that whole setup, it's not gonna make a difference other than maintenance.
