I added my cleaning crew a day after I put up the tank. They all seemed fine and none of them died. Not really sure if it's the same for other tanks. :p

I suggest that you wait until the cycle is done. I'm just affraid that they won't be able to stand the spikes. After it's done with the cycle, get some trochus, astrea or even turbo snails, to clean the glass. Get some cleaner shrimps to be doctors for your fishes, and they're scavengers too. I personally don't like hermit crabs, I get sally lightfoot and probably some emerald crabs.
Hope that helps...

i would not even consider adding anything, fish or cleaners, until after my cycle has completed

I would recomend that you wait until your water is cycled. If you want to put some live stock in you tank.......put some live rock to help cycle the tank. also you may want to add some shrimp from you local super market. wait a little bit then add a pretty large hardy fish or a few little guys. like a few demsels. you dont want to spend $80 buck on a cleaner crew and they kick the bucket. call around the city and find out who has demsels on sale. when buying demsels just remember its a pain in the tail to remove them....esp with lr. good luck
just my opinion, some may say its ok.

oh yeah....remember if you have to ask then that generally means dont do it <img src="graemlins//yeahright.gif" border="0" alt="[yeahright]" /> <img src="graemlins//yeahright.gif" border="0" alt="[yeahright]" /> <img src="graemlins//yeahright.gif" border="0" alt="[yeahright]" />

i agree with the others, i would wait. inverts are less tolerant when it comes to bad water parameters. i am going through a cycle too and want to add a cleaning crew also. i am trying very hard to be patient. this is the most difficult part of the hobby, isn't it???
