Cleaning magnet

A cleaning magnet is a two part magnet. One part goes on the inside of the aquarium, the other on the outside of the aquarium, and as magnets do, they mate together. The magnets are covered a felt type cover to prevent scratching. To clean the glass, you move the outside magnet and the inside magnet will follow. They are used to clean glass when you have limited access, such an in the wall aquarium, or when you don't want to get your hands wet. You can buy them at your lfs. My guess is $10 to $20.

cleaning mags are great! just look for the ones that float (mag-float) and don't' let your kids use them because mine have dragged them through the sand and caused extra scratches on the acrylic tank. :( they will cost more than 20-30 bucks @lfs. $29.99 tx on the larger mag-float at lfs. about $20 mail order. :D

they are definatly a good thing to have. you can clean they glass without really putting you arm into the water so you dont need to worry about accidental comtamination. try to get the one that floats. just incase you pop the magnets apart during cleaning. about $30 (magfloat)

I got my mag-float for 13.95, although I didn't get the biggest one, I got the medium sized one, and it works great on my 72 bow.

2boys i purchased the large $30 magfloat from the lfs. also purchased the acrylic adapter sock. works well. now if i could only get the boys to do it properly it would all go well.
