Cleaning pumps and powerheads

Any recommendations on how often theese should be cleaned out? Tank has been up for 4 months now and i havent done anything to them.

Once a month at least on the powerheads the magnets collect a lot of debris, and if you have spunge filters they should be cleaned with your water changes.

I find cleaning them once a month keeps everything running efficient.
