cleaning sand???

can a sand bottom be "sucked"?
just wondering how to go about cleaning a sand bottom....can a regular gravel cleaner be used or will it suck the sand outa the tank?

You don't need to manually clean the sandbed. A cleanup crew should do the job just fine.
