Cleanup crew recommendations

Looking to add a cleanup crew, what and how many would be a good start for a 55 gallon tank?

Definitely skunk cleaner shrimp those are great! Astrea snails hermit crabs are all a great addition! I’d do 1-3 cleaners 20 or so snails and hermits

I was removing my castle decoration from my tank to be cleaned and did not realize that my cleaner shrimp was hiding inside. How likely is a cleaner shrimp to die if he/she is exposed to a few seconds of freshwater?

I don’t think she’d die just keep and eye on her

She did end up dying within 30 minutes of exposure

Sorry to hear, now that you say 30 mins I would expected that, there real sensitive

She was only exposed for a few seconds. She was put back in saltwater and then died thirty minutes later

I’ve got a skunk cleaner shrimp and a peppermint shrimp as part of my clean up crew. One of them just molted. Am I supposed to take care of the skins or will that be naturally taken care of with the crabs and snails?

I have a hermit crab, two turban snails and a couple of tiny zebra snails. All being good at their job.
