My tanke just seems like it is always cloudy. I was just wondering what was the best way to make the water clear up. I have a fluval 305 canister filter along with a protein skimmer right now on a 30 gallon tank. my bottom is crushed coral and until i get another power head i have an airstone. i have 4 pieces of live rock and 2 damsels, 1 duster, 1fireshrimp and 1 clown. the fish seem to be ok but i just want to make the water clearer. Please give suggestions.

is it cloudy look from micro bubbles in the tank.?
normally to clear the water you can run activated carbon for a couple of days in a high flow area and it will help in clearing it up. just dont leave the carbon in there 24/7

Make sure all your water chemistry is correct first. PH, ALK etc. If they are then the use filter socks and carbon will help.

In the fluval 305, you probably have bagged carbon in there..Do you change out the inside filters, clean it?

All of my levels are good and I have been cleaning the filter hoping that will fix it. i am thinking that this mess might be because my bottom got stired up. I will do everything you guys said to do and then I will let it sit for a few days and hope that it clears up.
