Clogged overflow?

All of a sudden, the water is not being sucked into the overflow like it used to. Usually, when I put food in the tank, it just gets sucked away. Now it just floats around, along with everything else. There is water coming into the sump and it seems like a good pace. Could there be a clog somewhere? If so, how do I find it and clean it? I already cleaned the overflow tubes. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What type of overflow do you have? If its CPR overflow the inlet for the lift pump can get clogged. I had to remove and clean it once a week to keep it up and running. If it is an external overflow with lift pump, your pump may need to be cleaned as well. I ran vinegar and water through it for about 30 minutes once a month and that seems to help.
