close ups

How do you people do those extreme close ups of corals? I need to know some tips on that so I can get a few things identified.

What you need to do for close up photography is, if available on your camera is to set it to macro. Usually available on most nowadays. Indicated by a flower symbol, usually located on the program settings knob. Check your camera manual for minimal focal distances.
Us a tripod bes tway to maintain sharpness, after all a blurry close up, is not any good at all.
