Closed-Loop Design Help

Greetings

I will be ordering a new 90G custom glass tank that I am considering having drilled for a closed-loop system (to eliminate my in-tank powerheads). I recently purchased a Reeflo Snapper that I could use to power the closed-loop, but I need some help determining the location and size of the holes that would be needed to see if a closed-loop is the right choice for me.
What would you do, and why?
Thanks in advance...

First I would get the bulk heads... I would go with 1 1/2 bulk heads that way you will have some options if you want to upgrade later...
This is a pic of my 210 that I did you can see the pipe on the bottom that the sand covers...
hope that helps...

DEVIL DOG - Thanks...
Your setup is very nice (as is your tank
). If I was going to do it on the back glass (as opposed to the bottom), what would you recommend? I am concerned about too much suction for the pump feeds and, because of that, the placement of the holes. Once they are drilled, that's pretty much it

I am also waffling on whether or not I should do it. I really like the way my controller functions as a wavemaker with the powerheads, although I would prefer not to have the powerheads in the tank. If I use a closed-loop, I would be forced to use a SCWD or something similar, right? Decisions, decisions...
Can anyone provide diagrams or photos of how they ran their closed-loop systems?
Thanks in advance...
Take Care,
Mark

Well I have a room in the back of my tank so that’s why I went with the back. I wish I had more flow as you can see I have PH in there also and my CL runs 3400 gph... if you have your outlets pointed all over you will have even flow like the ocean IMO

DEVIL DOG - Thanks for the input...
Anyone else? I would appreciate diagrams, photos and any explanations you could provide about your closed-loop systems. It would be very helpful as I decide if/how to configure one for my new tank.
Thanks in advance...
