Closed loop over back of tank?

I'd like to add a closed loop to my 100g, probably with a SCWD and two returns to get some variation in the flow. Problem is, the tank isn't drilled. Is it feasible to do this by plumbing over the back of the tank? That adds a lot of bends to the required plumbing.

I did this with a closed loop and my tank isn't drilled , i have a Ocean Motion wavemaker running through it though, almost same as the SCWD, i have a quiet 1 4000HH 980 gph, and it works very well, the pump sits on the back of the tank and the pvc runs over the back. Great water flow with it, i'm also running the same pump for a return pump from the sump back to the tank.
