Cloudy tank

I just put in 80lbs of beeauutiful LR to my new tank.

The water is very cloudy which I guess is normal. I had turned off the Biowheel filter and all the powerheads. The only thing on is the heater. Do I wait until the water is clear before I turn the rest on? :notsure:

Why is it cloudy? No thats not normal. Did you stir up the sand? It will clear alot faster with the filters and PH's on IMO.

No sand. It never arrived (from a different source). I was advised to go ahead and put the rock in. It came via mail and is loaded with growth.

So my point is, why is it cloudy. It should not be cloudy at all unless you were sold seriously dying/dead rock? How long did it take to arrive? Well, since it is not cycled, you can turn everything on and it will clear up by tomorrow I guess. Did you scrub it before placing it in the tank as advised?
