Cloudy Water (Help)

Hi;
Got home from work and found water in my 55Gal very cloudy. Water tested good yesterday - LFS. Stores are closed today but I have not added anything other than RO.
I have had a problem starting with brown alge on my glass, I am guessing I had been running my light too long and cut that back as well as cut back on feeding.
Any ideas?

Is it cloudy white or cloudy green?
You dont have your own test kits?
I would take the tang back to the LFS. He will die.
Also how old is your tank?

Water is cloudy white.
Have a small test kit for pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate. all good
I know about the tang but the boss won't listen.
Tank has been up and running for about a year.

The brown algae is probally diatoms.
The cloudy water could be an algae bloom.
How are your water parameters today?

parameters good.
I was thinking about changing the filters and 10-15% water change but I can't do that until tomorrow.

That may be a good place to start.
If you notice that after you water change the cloudy water goes away and then comes back it is more than likely an algae bloom.
You would need a UV filter to get rid of it.
Let us know what happens!

Sorry for the delay in postingbut just got out of the hospital from knee sugery.
I got up the next morning after doing nothing and the water cleared up. Alge bloom??

Probally not an algae bloom they dont just go away. Or at least in my experience.
Could have been some substrate stirred up and just needed to settle.
Well Im glad it went away.
