cloudy water

I can not get my water to clear up. In about 2 to 3 days it went from crystal clear to cloudy. I have tested for phos, ammonia, ph nitrates, nitrites. every one is in the safe (normal) range. I have done water changes normaly and dont know what to do.[*]null

Do a water change with distilled water instead of using tap water, and things should clear up.

What are some of the changes you made to the tank within those last two days? A good protien skimmer helps. Add a bag of carbon on top of your bio balls(if you use them)to allow the water to fall onto the carbon.

I agree, do a carbon treatment and also use poly filter. See what color the poly changes and that will give you a decent idea of what's going on.

Could be a bacterial bloom. I've had them before where all water parameters check out. Overfeeding or decaying organic matter can lead to these blooms.
Normally the water will clear up on it's own, or you can do a partial water change. Don't add any of the water clarifiers you see at your lfs.

What is your definition of cloudy (yellow tint, disty look, whiteish tink, gray looking) because each one is a sign of a different problem. You may be trying to solve the wrong problem causing more bad things to happen.
Be cautious
