Cloudy Water

I just switched from crushed coral to live sand. Could this be the reason why my water is cloudy. I also just started using a prizm skimmer.

What do you mean by cloudy - dirty, milky?
It's probably your sand - how did you introduce it to the tank?

It just looks cloudy up on top of the tank. Milky. We moved the tank from our old apartment to the new one and when it was drained we made the switch from CC to LS. It is about 3 1/2 to 4 inches thick. I put the sand on the bottom of the tank and then put in the live rock and added the water from the aparment before we moved it. Hope this all makes sense and I didn't mess up the tank too bad.

Sounds normal all should clear in a few days.
