cloudy water

I have a ten gallon QT.. I put a cat shark egg in it and it has become cloudy. 10#ls,10#lr,power head, small filter, small heater, prameters are all over the place. nitrite .50, ph 7.8 amo. 0 working in straighting this out. Did 10% water change today, added some baking soda to the water to raise the ph. Whaaaat's next? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

Don't use baking soda, buy Kalkwasser mix and fill the evaporated water with that, buy a skimmer, Prizm is good for your size tank.

The cloudyness was from the egg. It had cracked open and the sack was leaking. (what a bad smell)
