I'M POSTING THIS QUESTION FOR A FREIND. HE HAS A 75 GAL FO TANK WITH CC . HE'S HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE WATER GETTING CLOUDY AFTER HE PULLS THE MICRON FILTER OUT OF HIS CANISTER TO PUT THE CARBON BACK IN. ALL THE PARAMATERS ARE GOOD.THERE IS A SMALL GRAY ANGEL AND A NIGER TRIGGER IN THE TANK.HE HAS A HANG ON WET/DRY WITH A SMALL PROTEIN SKIMMER AND OF COURSE THE FLUVAL UNDER THE TANK.I TOLD HIM TO KEEP THE MICRON FILTER IN BUT HE SAID IT GETS CLOGGED TO EASY??????

Micron filters are generally used occasionally to "polish" water, although saying micron isn't descriptive enough because there are different sizes, with the finer ones clogging faster. Either his water has a lot of particulate matter or he has a fine micron filter. He can try using a different size micron cartridge or doing a way with it all together. Most marine tanks don't need that level of mechanical filtration anyway.
