Does anyone know the causes of cloudy water in salt water tank? Iam not over feeding, and all my levels are great! Could this be caused by Ca++?
Its the only thing i havent checked. Water changes only seem to help for a while...
Fish tank 55 gallons
Fluval filter 404
protein skimmer
wave maker

If your tank is new (and it looks like it is) I personally had a white cloudy problem (theres a joke there somewhere) because:
I forgot to rinse out my cc substrate before I put it in. Had to remove it all and rinse it out.

yeah, but is it 6-8 weeks old yet?? :D actually depending on rather it's white or green means ALOT.. if its green its an algae bloom.. if its white its a bacteria bloom.. neither are really hard to fix... if its green.. then try some "coralife marine tank clarifier" this is just a liquid bacteria that will combat the bacteria bloom you are having.. if its white try. "sealife marine tank scrubber" again its just a snake oil of bacteria.. but it worked for my bacteria bloom.. I had it like you around 3 months.. mine came because I had used tap water to set up my tank.. then had huge hair algae problem.. when that died off all the algae went into the tank and would not die.. so I had to use the clarifier.. worked great for me..
