My 29g for the last 2 weeks has had very cloudy water even after 2 water changes its hardly cleared up I can't figure why it is so cloudy the water test out fine there was some nitirte but it was very low the tank has been set up for 4 months has 2 fish and 15 inverts 27 Lbs. of lr I don't have a skimmer for this tank I do for my larger tank maybe that would clear up the water
Is there something i could use to help I never really had much of a problem with cloudy water like this before some:help: would be very helpful Thanx

Nitrite should always be 0 in a cycled tank. If there were detectable nitrites, then IMO, there must have been excess ammonia at some point (over-feeding? anything die?). Ammonia can cause cloudiness.
Run some fresh carbon in your filter, if you can. It should help clear it up.

there was some ammonia after a water change and adding de-tox too it went away the nitrite went to 0 as well i did have 2 snails die but the water is still cloudy I did change the fliter pad 2 days ago with around 30% water change it only cleared up very little I mean the water got this milky look to it i cant fnd other thing that caused it like a leeking heater a temp. gauge a carefully inspect that stuff filter works perfect i left the light off for 5 days now to see if that helps it is getting rather furstrating

What kind of water are you using for your water changes? What are your other water parameters?

Are you sure you didn't stir up the sand during the water changes? With ph 8.4 and 0 ammonia it doesn't sound like much of anything else could be a fault.
you might try turning off your lights for awhile to see if it settles down. Also try not feeding for a couple of days. Could be phosphates from food.
in case there is something else going on, as usual i recommend plant life. It really helps to keep things clear.

The milky color cloudiness could be a bacterial bloom which should subside in a couple of days.
