I need some Ideas
I just finished installing my dolphin 5200 pump it is great makes some noise but it is manageable. The problem is the volume of water moving through the sump picks up the sand and blows it into the tank clouging the tank badly. As a LAST resort I will remove the sand from the sump. What else can I do to keep the pump from kicking up the sand?

Either slow the water down, remove the sand, or try to devise a way where the dirty water from tank is released into the sump through a baffle of some sort...like a water brake.
