clove polyp budding or something else?

There are some growths on the rock which has clove polyps (they are surrounding the 2 small polys and are flat trails with small star like formations in them) Can anybody tell me if these are related to the clove polyps or somehting sinister?

???? Time will tell???? Looks like maybe the clove polyps are spreading. Mine are cruising across the sand bed and have a pinkish flat base like GSP's.
