Im not totally sure but, If a clown is by itself it is not male nor female till a second is introduced. Then they will ---. The bigger of the 2 will become the female and the smaller one would be the male. Hope that helped
ups guy would be correct, but i would say it would be a female. to be safe, add a clownfish of the same species to the tank.
like ups guy said, the smaller one of the two will be male while the larger one will be female.
It depends on the age of your clown . Juveniles are neither male or female. But when reaching adulthood the turn to male . If a male is left alone without a mate it will turn into a female after time . Best bet is to always add a smaller one than the clown you have now .

actually you got that backwards all clowns are born male it doesnt matter the age as long as there is a dominate female in the tank all others will be male when the female dies or is take out the next dominate male will start to change to a female.
If there is a single clown in a tank it will be a female they do not change from femlae to male its a one time change.
