So I have had my pair of true percs for almost a month now and I'm seeing some aggression between them. It is always the bigger (female) picking on the smaller, just now it looked as if the female grabbed on to the males gill plate and was just shaking him all over, it looked pretty bad. Is this normal for young pairs or should I remove the one being picked on. He does have a deformation, he is missing one of his ventral fins completely...
could this be the cause of the problems? Is she rejecting him? Also they were hosting an anemone when I got them and now they aren't hosting anything could this cause stress??
When she goes after him he turns sideways and jerks around seizure like with his belly facing her, I think he is showing submission does it take a while for her to accept?
Also I've been feeding them every 2 days, if I fed them once a day would it lower her aggression? Thanks!
