clown and anemone matching

I've just put a small ocellaris in a 90g with a condi anemone. both have been healthy for months but living in separate tanks.
Here's my question: So far the clown has stayed firmly away from the anemone. Does this mean they aren't going to hit it off well, or is there a period usually where the clown is tentative?
Also, is there are compatiblity problem? I could swap a rose from another tank if the fish might like to nuzzle that one better.
In my other tanks, clowns have taken to anemones heartily...
fyi, there are only two other fish in the tank -- a fairy wrasse, scooter -- who aren't a problem. oh, and the clown is eating.

imo, you should give him/her a little time. then if it doesnt like it, maybe you could swap it out for the rose.

although my gold striped maroons took to a condy i had once, condylactis anemones have no natural symbiotic relationships with clownfish in the wild. i'd try patience or switch it out for the rose.

None of my clowns have ever enjoyed a condy for more than a few minutes.
My newly added rose hasn't been alone for more than a minute

you have to be careful with condy's because they like to move around a lot as well. i ended up getting rid of mine after it killed a few of my corals while it was roaming. here's a shot of it with my clowns before i got rid of it....

Thank you all for the v. useful feedback! ...

Now I have a lil' project for today, switching anemones. Actually, I think I'll just add the rose at first as there is a ton of rock space in this 90g and I think they'll stay away from each other. Then if they do decide to camp out together (the rose is VERY mobile) I'll take the condy to my lfs (and get enough $$$ for a latte!)

normally when anemone's move around a lot it is because they are not getting enough of something that they need. condy's are an exception to the norm. just curious what type of lighting you're running over your tank and how long you've had the rose for.
