Hi...I am new to this site and new to having a salt water aquarium. I have 2 clown fish. About 3 weeks ago I had one anemones but it died and I had to toss it out. Just the other day I bought a new anemones and I was wondering why my clown fish do not like to play in it. They never played in the other one either. Could there be something wrong with my clown fish?
Thank you....Nina :)

Anemones are usually pretty cheap.. but I don't reccemend one. They require intense lighting, and specefic conditions.

They are generally priced like that. The problem is that they are hard to keep alive for a long time. They don't do well in captivity. They are reef safe, they do not bother corals. Although inexpensive, I would stay away from them...they are difficult to keep alive, as I've already said.

I have a couple and love them. i have never had any probs with them. i think they are quiet easy because you dont have to find a spot for them. they find a place where they like it. I had a mated pair of clown fish with a HUGE anemone and they would always stay by its side. but then the female clown died and the male went of into the leather coral and never came back to the anemone. but the anemone died 1 month later and we got a new one (not as big) and he is doing great. he has been in My tank for 2 months and he is a cool thing to have. now my leather is dying because the clown wont get out of it and the clown is disrupting the corals photothenthesis. :(
