my clownfish has been nipping at the ends of my torch coral for a week or two now and the coral will not fully open up anymore.
it looks like the clown has bit off some of the ends of the torches arms, it will barely extend at all, it there any way to stop this??

Clownfish normally nibble (but don't cause harm) at the tips of anemones' tentacles as part of the process to prevent getting stung. I think your clown may be trying this with your torch. If this is the case, you can remove either of the two, or add an anemone and hope the clown will move in. I'd highly advise not getting an anemone, unless you were planning on getting one, have adequate lighting, and a stable environment.
