Clown Confusion opinions needed

I am looking for some opinions on which clown to get. I would love a pair of clowns and in the future, I want to get a BTA. Here is my dilemma …. I like Maroons but understand they are hard to pair my next choice is a pair of True Percula but will they host a BTA. I know there is no guarantee on hosting but is there a tendency for the species to host together. I am also concerned about aggressiveness. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You can get mated pairs of Maroons if you know where to look. I know a couple sites that do sell them but they are expensive. You can buy mated pair True Percs as well.

if i'm not mistaken true percs wont have a problem hosting a BTA... as a matter of fact aren't BTA's the easiest anemonies to get to host with percula's??
keep in mind true percs are very aggressive in comparison to false percs, and SUPPOSEDLY maroon clowns are also aggressive, although mine is a sweetheart lol

a BTA is not a "natural" host for percs, but I have seen hundreds of percs accept a BTA as their host. Most of the nautral hosts for percs are a difficult anemone to keep (S.gigantea, H.magnifica) whereas a BTA is considered one of the easiest to keep. As for percs being aggressive.. Some can be but IME, they are one of the top 3 when it comes to being more docile. My adult pair are the mellowest clowns that I have seen, but I have others that really defend their anemone/territory. Skunks, and occelaris are also non-aggressive IMO/IME.
