I just lost my male clown
It couldnt even swim and water current kept throwing it around.
It had this white thin hairlike thing dangling under its body all day. Was it a parasite?
Anyways I'm sad and also concerned that if it was a parasite will it affect my other inhabitants?

I'm sorry to hear that. Sorry, but I have little experience myself and don't feel confident enough to offer advice. Good luck with your other fish. I'm sure one of the knowledgeable people on this forum will respond.

A bowel movement? Where was it located? How long did you have the fish? Pre-death symptoms?

had the fish for 2 weeks. The long white thing was located on the underbelly of the fish closer to the tail. It was breathing very rapidly and it seemed like the mouth was vibrating. Gills were very wide opened and hyperventilating. Mouth looked a bit yellowish rather than orange. Looked inside the gills when it was out of the tank & they were deep red in color
