clown dont go to the anemone?

We're new to marine fish...
When we setup the tank, the clown automatically go to the anemone.. but today he always stay near the pump of our protein skimmer.
is this ok? or he is acting wierd?(dying?)

Welcome to the site, Not all clown fish will go to an anemone. They do what they want. There is nothing wrong, I had my clown fish host the input and output of my filters for 5 years and went to the anemone just a month ago for the first time.
