Clown feeding Host BTA

I noticed at my lfs, all the clowns with anemone hosts feed their anemone. The guy dropped krill in each tank, each clown shot out of the anemone, grabbed the krill, and dropped it off in the anemone for dinner. My clown started hosting the anemone yesterday, tried the krill thing, to no avail. Is this something that comes with time?

The theory I subsribe to is that they aren't feeding the anemone, but are placing food where other things can't get it. After the food stops flowing they usually take back some that they stuck on their host.

long time..welcomeback. A theory, but I dont think its what all do...if thats your thought ??? I know many clowns will directly feed their host...some may do as you think but mine never places any food in the host but directly steals from what its snag and eats it themselfs.....the anemone does not seem to mind...hehe
