I have a 25g reef tank and i have bought 2 clown fish 3 months ago and putting it in the quarantine tank after a day or two it died, then i got 2 again after 1 day one just died then on the 2nd day the other one died too, then again i bought 3 clown fishes and on the next day 1 died, on the 2nd day the remaining 2 quit on me also. What's seems to be the problem? tested the water in the Qtank is fine.. tried feeding them with fish pellets but they just aren't eating them after 30 minutes I siphoned out the fish food to avaoid polluting the water. Has any body have an idea what is wrong with it?

Errr... if THAT many are dying, you need to stop buying them... Have you tested EVERYTHING in your water? How exactly are you acclimating them, and lastly, where are you purchasing them from?

i've had two die near the exact same rock and my test results came out perfect, and my frogspawn (near the rock) looked healthy as ever.. so i think my clowns just suck.... maybe urs do too... did u buy them all from the same place

I make sure that the qt is up and running for more than 7 days already before buying the fishes and as soon as i got home i slowly but quickly transfered them to the qt with the powerheads, lights and skimmers turned off for alittle over half an hour before turning it back on except for the light it remains off and the qt in a dark space.

hmm... I'm sure there will be a lot of people who disagree with me, but I use to use a qt tank but stopped. Everything that I put in there died... including a very healthy mantis shrimp and damsel. I quit using it and have had a lot more success. I never figured out why everything was dying in there, but the qt earned the name "Tank of Death" by my husband. Hopefully you can figure it out. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

i never QT, i dont see a reason too really.... and i dont drip acclimate... but the main thing with my clown problem is that the first one (2 months) died and was covered in this 2 inch thick slime (i thought frogspawn might have done this), and this second one (3 weeks) i found when redoing some rockwork, he was underneath a huge rock... it was liek he made a tunnel to the bottom and died... it was wierd, he's my only fish too, so now i have to go get some more.
