The last couple of days I have noticed that my false perc clown has been swimming around the top of the tank and into the current alot. He doesnt usually do this. Is this normal? I know clown fish are very weird fish. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

thats pretty typical.. at least for my two (percula & maroon ) they are just what they are.. really big goofy clowns.. they really enjoy the powerhead that i got for them.. i've been told it's like a treadmill for them.. they love swimming it the current :D

my clown does this all night long when the lights are out. he swims against the current, and then once it pushes him away, starts all over. very typical of clowns.

Clowns do weird things sometimes, but swimming against currents could mean a few things, like lack of oxygen, high levels of ammonia or nitrite.
