I came home from my girlfriends place this morning and one of my clownfish jumped out of the back of the tank. Its crazy...I have a canopy and a glass cover. Although I leave the glass cover off the back 3 inches in order for air exchange. That clownfish jumped out through a 3 inch space. I was devestated. The bad thing is that I had mated pair. This evening I went to the LFS and picked up another clown, hoping that the one will not recognize that this new clown is really an imposter.
Its so sad...my girlfriend was so mad...it was her favorite clown...the one that jumped was the female i think because it was the larger of the two...
Hope the new one gets along...

My mother and I both had a sixline wrasse jump out of our tank. I'm sorry to hear about your clown. Good luck on the new one.

I have the ultimate clown story! One morning before work I went to turn the lights on and casually looked at the tank. My 2 false percs always stay near the top of the tank, even in the middle of the night. Well, I could only find one and was in a hurry to get to work so I really didn't think too much of it. When I got home from work I still could not find it so I figured it died and the crabs dragged it into a hole or something. A few minutes later I found it on the carpet behind the tank dry and not moving. I put him in my sump for a minute and it started to swim! That was 6 months ago! It still freaks me out to this day! The ironic thing about it is that he is the one that wants to bite me every time my hand goes in the tank!
