best to post a pic but i have never seen any wrasse that looked even close to a clown. matter a fact i think clowns have a look all there own.
as a side note never buy anything without possitve ID.
I make it a point to NEVER buy blind at the LFS
research what you want and go there for that reason. if you see somthing while there you think you may want, go home and research it and then go back if you still feel its a good canidate for your tank.

I believe thats either a red coris wrasse or a formosa wrasse...both can be troublesome in a reef....very nice fish though.

Beautiful fish. I also bought one many moons ago. Yes it is a Red Coris wrasse or sometimes called a red cross wrasse. Definitley not reef safe. Plus that sucker will be eating any hemit crabs that you have. Now for the bad news. It is still in the juvenille stage. When it grows to an adult it completely changes color and grows to about 18" long. I know because I was lucky. I was able to donate mine to a local aquarium. They had some full grown suckers in a tank and yes they were about 18" long. This is the same fish that taught me, and now you, to research EVERYTHING before you buy it.

My LFS will take him back because he was mistaken, but anyone have any feedback on that yellow one in the pic? I had researched those and found that they were ok to have in the tank.

Yes the yellow one is a great fish..it's a yellow corris wrasse. They get quite beautiful..don't worry if you notice he disappears shortly before lights out..it is normal for them, they sleep in the sand. The rainsford goby in that pic is also a nice fish...good little algae eater.:) Good luck getting the red one out of your tank:nervous:

your yellow wrasse is still a coris and all coris eat crustaceans and your other one is a formosa coris i have one that is an adult and he is such a good eater but a very fast agressive fish

I found a fishing pole with a small enough hook works GREAT.
