clown fish moving rocks/shells/sand

My sister has a a maroon clownfish and it's anenome in her saltwater tank. We we're amazed today at it's behavior. It has been picking up rocks and small shells from around and behind the anenome and moving them to the other side of the tank. It has also been moving mouthfulls of sand. There are two other clownfish in the tank, but they are Perculas, not maroons.

Clownfish do strange things, but it's usually nothing to worry about. Not a good idea to have the maroon with the percs... it'll probably end up killing them.
