clown fish playing dead?

i know some fish play dead...one of my false percula clown fish rests on the bottom of my tank some days more than others but always the same spot, is this normal? it really looks like he's dead ill tap the tank and than he goes and swims normaly, my levels are all good, also the othe clown hides in the corner behind rocks most of the day i thought clown fish werent into the hiding somemuch?
is there anything i should/could do?

my fish does that too ... but it stayes in the open area.... a few times i got scared thinking my fish died..... he was dead stilll... then i kept looking at him after a little while he started waving up and down! so i knew he was good! :-D

yea, my clown will only stay at the top in one corner and not much movement from him. I didn't know what it was until I adjusted my powerhead. He doesn't like the motion of the water. He moves around a liitle bit more now, but still secluded from the rest of the tank. He's been doing this for about 1 1/2 months now but he eats and seems to be fine.

IM JUST STARTING A NEW MARINE TANK PROJECT AND I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOMETHING AWESOME,ARTISTIC,REALISTIC,FANTASTIC AND OUTSTANDING; I DONT CARE HOW MUCH MONEY I HAVE TO SPEND,BUT THE QUESTION IS:I HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT WHAT TO PUT INSIDE ,OR WHAT KIND OF FISH OR CORALS I CAN ADD,ETC,ETC,ETC.
I ALREADY HAVE AN IDEA ABOUT THE P.H. ,AMONNIA LEVELS,TEMPERATURE AND SALT LEVELS.
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET INFORMATION IN SEVERAL LOCAL AQUARIUMS,BUT NOBODY HAS THE PATIENCE TO HELP ME AND TEACH ME THIS INCREDIBLE , BEAUTIFUL AND SMART ART OF KEEPING AN ARTIFICIAL MARINE AQUARIUM.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF THERE IS SOMEBODY THAT CAN LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS OF MY IGNORANCE WITH THE LIGHT OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE.

its funny my clown stop doing it since i took i put him in qt for a few hourstry that maybe its the change of scenery who knows?
to MIGUEL1971 get a book read it than you'll know what to ask , thats how i started out, good luck

when i bought them i thought they were simple fish not much personality
the more i watch them the more i realize they are strange fish but fun to watch when they arent playing dead

haha mines does all of that... then during the day when the lights is on.. he sits in front of the power head... swiming in the wave hehe hes geting his exercise hahaha seems happy!

Mine does the same thing with the powerhead. I have a bag of frozen food and it goes ballistic all over the tank while I hold that bag of food in front of the tank. Very amusing :lol:
