i want to get some clown fish for me and my son could i have 2 in a 10 gallon tank? if not what do yall recommend for a tank size for 2 clown fish?

That would probably be a little cramped for two clowns. Get something at least in the 20g range and get a couple of small Ocellaris(Nemo) clowns. Welcome to the boards!!

someone suggested the 14g biocube would that work? also would a anemone be out of the question for a beginner?

if you have a walmart near you i'm sure you could get a 20g for 15-25$ much cheaper than the 14g biocube is going to cost you just IMO.
i got a 30g with basic filtration that can be used for salt or fresh water all for $45 only thing not included was heater...which are generally $30+

I have seen a couple of small juvenile clowns in a 14g biocube on several occassions. It can be done and you will have to make that decision. Anemones require intense lighting and those systems come with PC lighting which doesn't provide that intensity. They also need a mature system so you wouldn't want to add one for months if you insist on having one. One thing I can recommend is keep the questions coming because what you learn now will save you some money, heartache and aggrevation.

i would try and go with a 20g for a pair of clowns it would just be better in the end and really no more expensive, also you can start with easier anemones when your just starting out but you should always give your tank a good 6 months to establish before adding an anemone! and of course keep asking questions it always helps!
