clown fish tips please

I want to get a pair of clown fish, the most peaceful and least aggressive and I wanted to know which ones are the best bet, i think common clowns are, but not sure.
Also, i don't have an anenome, will this be a problem for the clowns? Will they do ok without one?
Finally, when I qt them, if one develops symptoms of disease and the other doesn't, should I treat them both, or remove the healthy one to my other qt and treat only the sick one?

i can only confidently answer one of the 3 questions you asked...the clowns will be fine without an anemone. i'm sure someone more knowledgeable can answer the other two

id go with a pair of True Percs

but either ones i mentioned are real peaceful towards tankmates(unless of course theyre another species of clownfish, but that goes for any clown)
No they dont need an Anemone, theyll be ok without one...... But if you have any coral in your tank theyll try to host them? sometimes its bad sometimes its not. its only bad when theyre harrassing the coral so much the coral wont come out.
When you pick your pair at the fishstore... thats probably when you will see symptoms of disease... just check them out... ask the fishstore to feed them for you.. just watch them.. look at their fins...
Clownfish are pretty hardy fish.
