I need some advice. Tomorrow we are going to Union Aquarium to buy a Coralife Protein Skimmer. My 125g aquarium has finished its cycle just about 2 days ago. I have now 4 shrimp in there along with a few hermits and a few snails. We want to go back tomorrow and get our 2 clown fish to start out with. Im asking this: Would it be Ok to put 2 clown fish in with not really a whole lot of inverbrates as of yet??

Are you absolutely set on the Coralife skimmer? I have a 125 and love my skimmer, rated at one of the best. An Aqua C Remora Pro--hangs on the back, gives extra flow, and does a wonderful job. From the get go, it filtered out brown gunk. It will set you back some, as far as being expensive, but the skimmer IMO is the most important equipment you can buy for your tank. Why skimp on the essentials? Just a thought.

Coralife Super Skimmers have actually been getting some pretty good ratings. It does a great job at a great price. I didn't like it before cause it's too bulky for my 55 reef with insufficient space issues, but for my 90 bow front, I'm gonna try it again since I have a sump to hide it....
About the Clown fish, what are your tank's parameters?? After cycling, you should do a water change before placing those fish in there. They should be fine, the tank is large enough to handle two small fish at a time. Do you have any live rocks in there? :happyfish
