a friend has an occellaris that attacks anything that gets near its anemone is this normal if you dont have one would they still be as aggressive when it comes to their favorite spot

they are typically not aggressive except when protecting their spot (even then not very) if they are tank bred they are far less likely to display any aggression but also less likely to host.

Ocellaris are the least aggressive clowns. They are all in the damsel family and are all aggressive to some extent. If you are worried then get a single clown. A single ocellaris will be the most docile IMO.

My pair of ocellaris clowns basically rule the tank they're currently in because they were the first. IMO, if you want to go with a pair, add them last, unless you plan on adding another, even more aggressive fish, then add that one absolutely last, but add the pair of clowns next to last.
